For those of you following the blog, we wanted to let you know that Prue is currently out of blogging range...she will post as soon as she can.
In the meantime, Christine and I are already steeped in the implementation meeting in London...it is inspiring to be surrounded by the network of schools. The Marymount London campus is beautifil. We look forward to sharing upon our return....

Victoria Falls....The falls that divide Zambia and Zimbabwe....another amazing experience!
Maria was the only brave one to put her feet in the water...
Prue and Christine tried to fight the Baboons off with sticks....YIKES!
When we survived the Baboons... the rainbow came...beautiful!
Then the Zebras came...as they approached closer, Christine ran off and left Maria stuck in the pricker bush....but,have no fears, she made it out, just a little scratched up!
Finally we hit the markets...We made Janice and Frieda proud!
The last day we will all be together...so sad to see it end! Thanks Marymount for a once in a lifetime experience!
Maria and Christine will fade into the Zambian sunset....
Prue will have to continue on without us.....Ciao for now!

We said goodbye to the Kamuboola Lodge in Choma...
nets around the beds....this makes Prue very happy
and lots of choices for food!
On this trip, we have designated roles....Christine is the banker - and boy is she tough...we have to beg for money!..
Prue is the sprayer and medicine man (woman)...she keeps us protected from mosquitoes and the like...her sprays also keep the people away...stinky!
And Maria is the blogger, also known as the "Boss"...They keep reminding me I'm not in charge yet!
To bed early tonight to be ready at the crack of dawn for our safari...hope to have lots of pictures to share!TULABONAANA! ....See you in Tonga!

We began the day with a whole school assembly around the flagpole. The students led us in prayer and then the Head of school, Mr. Hyanga, spoke to the students about what he has been noticing -sort of like our Whole School Meetings....Then we were off to teach again.
Today part of the learning was cookery....the teacher below was teaching the class. and us, how to make Shima (or sometimes called neshima), which is a staple food for Zambia...Shima is eaten almost everyday at lunch and dinner. It is made up of Mais like flour, Kapenta-small fish, oil, onions, cabbage and tomatoes!
We all had a turn at stirring...not as easy at it looks!
Small fish...kind of like sardines
onions,cabbage and tomatoes
Mixed together and then served with the Mais meal.... all of which you eat with your fingers.....
Christine tried to smile, but had problems eating the fish....
Food has been somewhat of an issue...but we are being resourceful.....
Although we did enjoy a stir-fry meal one afternoon
And Christine also enjoyed a T-bone Steak
We have been relying on Peanut butter and jelly and making our own aperitivo of cheese and crackers!
We would love some fresh fruit and vegetables, but have been told to stay away....hard to resist when they are all around us!!
We are off to Victoria Falls this weekend and hope to do a mini-safari in Chobe in Botswana!
....As Twaamba says in the video below.....Ciao! Will post soon!

Prue didn't even fake the smile...she didn't mind the fish, but had problems eating with her hands...
And of course Maria licked her plate clean....yum, yum!
